Reading at Home

Pupils at Hodge Hill are expected to use Bug Club to read home-reading texts that have been chosen by their class teacher (in addition to any home reading books they are given to take home). When pupils read texts using Bug Club, they should record this in their home reading record. If you do not have access to the internet, please let your child’s class teacher know so that your child can always take a physical book home with them.
Pupils are expected to read for ten minutes each evening and their reading record must be signed by an adult, even if your child is reading independently.

Our Curriculum Reading page has further information on Bug Club, please click here.
